Greetings Oneida City School District Community,

At Oneida City School District, we strive to educate, inspire, and empower our students.

Our District is composed of six schools: Durhamville Elementary School (4-5), Seneca Street Elementary School (2-3), Willard Prior Elementary School (PreK-1), Otto Shortell Middle School (6-8), and the Oneida High School (9-12). Approximately 1,900 students are educated and prepared for Careers or College by our dedicated and committed faculty and staff.

At OCSD, we strive to prepare our students with a robust curriculum. Research-based reading, math, and social/emotional programs in elementary schools lead to rigorous academic programming at Otto Shortell Middle School and then a diverse, student-centered curriculum at Oneida High School designed to meet the individual needs of our students. Additionally, OCSD is committed to the all-around development of our students and offers a variety of extracurricular activities including engaging clubs, competitive sports teams, and award-winning music and arts programs.

We work hard as a district to communicate with stakeholders in a variety of ways: ParentSquare messages (school closings, announcements, etc.); weekly/monthly updates from building principals; weekly video blasts from the Superintendent; and quarterly district newsletters. I would invite you to visit each of our school's web pages to learn more about our district and all that we offer here at the Oneida City School District.

Finally, I encourage parents and stakeholders to take an active role in the OCSD Community. Come out and support our students in the arts and cheer them on at athletic events. Join your child’s PTO or become a member of the Booster Club. If you’re an alumnus, check out the OCSD Foundation and see how you can help to keep OCSD traditions alive!

Thank you for supporting the students and community of Oneida City School District!
