Celebrating Culture Through Día de los Muertos!

Students in Mrs. Pohl-Robinson’s Spanish 3 class are bringing culture and creativity together through an Ofrenda Project for Día de los Muertos!
Working in teams, students are learning about the traditions and significance of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed away. As part of their project, students are exploring the meaning behind ofrendas, or altars, which often include photographs, candles, flowers, and favorite foods to celebrate the lives and memories of those being remembered.
Through this hands-on project, students are building their Spanish language skills, practicing teamwork and collaboration, and gaining a deeper appreciation for Mexican culture and traditions!
