SS Students Learn About Fire Safety

The Oneida City Fire Department recently visited students at Seneca Street Elementary to discuss fire and emergency safety. They informed the students on how to call 911, identifying what constitutes an emergency versus a non-emergency, and the importance of staying low to the ground in the presence of smoke.
They also emphasized the significance of having a designated meeting spot outside the home in case of a fire, and the critical role of fire and CO2 alarms. They also showcased the correct technique for putting on their gear and, of course, gave many high fives to the crowd!
Thank you, OCFD, for taking the time to educate our students on fire safety!
