WP Students Learn Through Literature

Mrs. Thrashers’ first-grade students gathered together to listen as she read a chapter book aloud.
Read-alouds are an important part of early literacy development, helping students build vocabulary, strengthen listening and comprehension skills, develop imagination, and hear fluent reading modeled for them.
There is so much learning that happens when we simply take the time to listen to a good story!
