Durhamville Elementary kicked off the school year with a favorite annual tradition — How to Play Day!

Students spent the day rotating through a variety of playground activities, learning new games, reviewing expectations, and practicing what it means to be a good teammate. From kickball to touch football, students had plenty of opportunities to get moving, try something new, and build confidence while having fun with their classmates.

This year, Durhamville students also had some special coaches on the field. Members of the Disney Leadership Academy and Athletic Council volunteered their time to help organize activities, teach games, and encourage our younger students. They helped students learn strategies and techniques for touch football and kickball while showing them what it means to be a supportive teammate and leader.

How to Play Day is about more than learning playground games — it is about building connections, practicing cooperation and creating a sense of belonging. It is a fun way for our students to start the year with PRIDE, teamwork, and plenty of smiles!
