Our incoming 6th graders got a head start on middle school today during their OSMS Orientation! Students explored their new classrooms, met their teachers, received their locker assignments, and practiced using their locks. They also dropped off supplies, reviewed their schedules, and had plenty of time to meet and get to know their new classmates and teachers.

The day wrapped up with lunch before students headed home—giving them a chance to experience the routines and expectations of a typical school day.

Orientation is a great way to help students feel more comfortable and confident as they prepare to make the transition to middle school. We can't wait to welcome them back for the first day!
