LEAP Students Learn About Light in Science

LEAP students put their engineering and science skills to work in Mrs. Bradley's class by building model windows using popsicle sticks, glue, and plastic wrap. Once their window frames are complete, students will use permanent markers to create designs before shining light through them to explore how different materials interact with light.
This hands-on investigation introduces students to the properties of transparent and opaque materials, helping them observe how transparent materials allow light to pass through while opaque materials block it. Activities like this encourage students to ask questions, make observations, and connect scientific concepts to the world around them through creative, inquiry-based learning.
