Young Scientists at Work!

Our summer program students put their science skills to work while exploring the difference between living and non-living things!
During the lesson, students examined a variety of pictures, discussing the characteristics that make something living—such as growing and needing food and water. They then sorted the images by cutting them out and placing them into the correct categories: living or non-living.
Hands-on activities like this help students strengthen their observation, critical thinking, and classification skills while building a strong foundation in life science.
