OHS StoryMaker Camp Sparks Creativity Through Digital Storytelling

Creativity and technology came together this week as students in the Oneida High School StoryMaker Camp expanded their digital storytelling skills through hands-on learning experiences.
Students participated in a live Zoom workshop with StoryMaker professionals, gaining an inside look at the animation process while learning advanced techniques for creating engaging digital stories.
Later in the week, students were challenged to apply those new skills by creating their own animated videos designed to teach educational lessons to younger students. Through the project, they strengthened their abilities in creative writing, digital media production, problem-solving, and communication while considering how to present information in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
By collaborating with peers, refining their ideas, and receiving feedback throughout the creative process, students also built valuable skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and perseverance.
StoryMaker Camp is made possible through the Mental Health Grant, helping to provide students with amazing opportunities!
