Where Are They Now: Travis Moyer

Meet OCSD Alumnus Travis Moyer, Class of 2015!
Some of Travis’ favorite memories from his time at OCSD come from the business classes he took and his involvement in athletics. He shared that his business courses provided him with a strong foundation in real-world skills and helped shape his interest in pursuing a career in business. At the same time, participating in sports taught him discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Together, these experiences played a significant role in shaping who he is today and preparing him for both college and his professional journey.
Following graduation, Travis earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Hartwick College, followed by his MBA. He is currently in his final semester of a master’s program in Business and Marketing Education at SUNY Oswego, which will qualify him to teach business and marketing courses at the K–12 level.
For the past seven years, Travis has built a career in higher education. He began working in undergraduate admissions at Hartwick College and later at Hamilton College, where he focused on student recruitment and helped guide students through the admissions process. He later transitioned into graduate admissions, where he has overseen recruitment and enrollment strategies while working closely with prospective students as they pursue advanced degrees.
In addition to his work in higher education, Travis is also a co-founder of Lagana and Cerrillo, a food company he started alongside fellow OCSD alumnus Jared Charette. One of their most exciting milestones has been seeing their sauce on the shelves at the Oneida Price Chopper.
To future graduates, Travis offers this advice: "OCSD is the foundation of your life, but it is not the rest of your life. What may feel out of reach right now is something you will be capable of one day. Take advantage of your time here. Enjoy your teachers, your peers, and the clubs and organizations you are part of, because those moments go by faster than you think."
We are proud to celebrate Travis’ accomplishments and look forward to seeing what he achieves next!
