2026 Special Olympics Success!

Smiles, determination, and school spirit were on full display at this year's Special Olympics Spring Games hosted by VVS!
Our athletes joined students from across the region for an unforgettable day of competition, friendship, and celebration. From sprinting down the track and clearing hurdles to testing their skills in long jump, shot put, wheelchair slalom, and more, every athlete gave it their all and showcased what it means to be a champion.
The excitement kicked off with the inspiring Parade of Athletes, where participants proudly represented their schools before competing throughout the day. Every athlete earned a participation ribbon, but the real victories were the confidence gained, friendships made, and memories created along the way.
Between events, students enjoyed exploring the Olympic Village, where they played lawn games, made bracelets, and got their faces painted thanks to the wonderful CTE Early Childhood Education students who volunteered their time and talents.
It was a day filled with encouragement, perseverance, and plenty of fun—and we couldn't be prouder of our Oneida athletes for representing our district so well!
A huge thank you to our partners at Madison-Oneida BOCES for capturing these incredible moments of our students in action. #OneidaPride #SpecialOlympics
