Crazy Hair Day at WP

April is recognized as World Autism Month, a time to increase awareness, promote understanding, and celebrate the strengths and contributions of individuals with autism.
In recognition, Willard Prior Elementary is celebrating throughout the week with a series of themed spirit days designed to engage students and foster a sense of inclusion. Monday kicked off the celebration with “Crazy Hair and Hat Day,” bringing creativity and school spirit to the forefront.
Throughout the week, staff members are also wearing autism awareness pins as a visible sign of support and a reminder of the importance of kindness, acceptance, and understanding. These activities help create meaningful opportunities for students to learn about and appreciate the diverse ways people think, learn, and experience the world.
