Madison County Summer Youth Employment
Madison County officials have announced the launch of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) 2026, offering local young people a chance to gain work experience while earning pay.
The program will run for 4 weeks, giving participants the opportunity to work within their own communities while building valuable skills.
Program Highlights
- Duration: 4 weeks of work and learning
- Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Schedule: Up to 22 hours per week
- Start Date: July 6, 2026
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 14–20 years old
- Meet income eligibility guidelines or receive benefits such as SNAP (Food Stamps), SSI, Medicaid, HEAP, or Cash Assistance
Income Guidelines (Effective June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027)
Examples include:
- Family of 1: $31,920 annually
- Family of 4: $66,000 annually
- Family of 8: $111,440 annually
(Full income scale applies based on household size.)
