Real-World Learning: Students Design Logos for the Village of Sylvan Beach

The Village of Sylvan Beach recently partnered with our students to bring real-world learning into the classroom!
Village Administrator Michael Sayles reached out to Oneida High School’s Computer Graphics classes with an exciting opportunity: design new logo concepts for the Village.
This project gives students hands-on experience in graphic design, branding, and client collaboration—skills used every day in careers like marketing, communications, and digital media. Students are learning how to take a client’s vision, research a community’s identity, and turn those ideas into professional-quality designs.
Opportunities like this connect classroom learning to the real world, helping students build both their portfolios and confidence. We’re proud to see their creativity making an impact right here in our community!
Thank you, Mr. Sayles!
