Where Are They Now: Logan VanDyke

Logan VanDyke is a proud alumnus of the Oneida City School District, Class of 2014.
During his time at OCSD, Logan fondly recalls participating in music programs, attending Colgate Seminars, and assisting with the district’s website and social media management during his senior year. He notes that these experiences challenged him, built his confidence, and revealed his passion for learning, creativity, and problem-solving.
Following graduation, Logan attended Le Moyne College, where he studied Management Information Systems and Business Leadership. He later pursued his master’s degree at Syracuse University, earning an advanced degree in Management Information Systems, along with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Cloud Management.
Currently, Logan is an IT Manager at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he has spent over seven years in increasingly responsible roles. Most recently, he has led teams supporting thousands of devices across clinical, academic, and research environments.
In April 2026, Logan will begin a new chapter as a Diplomatic Technology Officer with the U.S. Department of State, serving in the U.S. Foreign Service. In this role, he will deliver secure technology solutions to support diplomats in carrying out their work safely and effectively worldwide.
To future graduates, Logan offers this advice: “Everyone’s path looks different. Focus on learning, building skills, and trying new things, even if you are not sure where they will lead. The things you invest time in now can open doors later in ways you do not expect.”
