State and Regional Education Leaders Tour OHS Improvements

New York State Board of Regents member Patrick Mannion and Madison-Oneida BOCES Superintendent Scott Budelmann recently visited Oneida High School for a guided tour of the building alongside Oneida City School District Superintendent Matt Carpenter. The visit provided an opportunity to view the extensive improvements made since their last visit—when the building looked markedly different following last summer’s flooding.
During the tour, Mr. Mannion and Mr. Budelmann spoke with Superintendent Carpenter about the scope of the restoration work and the remarkable transformation that has taken place since June. They walked through classrooms and hallways that were previously impacted by flooding, observed instruction in progress, and took time to speak with staff and students about what it has meant to be back in their building.
The visit highlighted not only the physical improvements to the facility, but also the resilience and dedication of the Oneida school community throughout the recovery process. We are grateful to Mr. Mannion and Mr. Budelmann for taking the time to visit Oneida High School and for their continued support of our students, staff, and district.
