This afternoon, staff at the Oneida Bus Garage reported smelling a gas odor. Out of an abundance of caution, employees working in the Costello Transportation Center were immediately evacuated.

Madison-Oneida BOCES and the Oneida City School District remained in constant communication throughout the incident. No students were in session today due to a regional Superintendents Conference Day.

The health, safety, and well-being of our staff, students, and visitors are our highest priorities. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will ensure the building is fully safe before allowing employees to return.
