Oneida High School Zonta Club Holds 56th Annual Induction Ceremony

The Oneida High School Zonta Club proudly hosted its 56th annual Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, September 23rd at the Oneida Public Library, welcoming a new cohort of dedicated members into the global Zonta community. The event celebrated the club’s ongoing commitment to Zonta International’s mission of advancing the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Club Advisors Patricia Vaccaro and Haley Wise, who emphasized the significance of Zonta’s work both locally and globally. Attendees were reminded of the organization’s storied history since its founding in 1919 and its enduring role in promoting gender equality and empowering women in all aspects of life.

Each inductee was individually recognized, presented with a Zonta Club shirt and a carnation, and offered words of encouragement and support. The atmosphere reflected celebration, unity, and shared purpose.
The evening concluded with remarks from Golden Zonta members Shelly Coe and Barb Allen of the local Oneida Chapter. They reaffirmed the club’s mission and encouraged both new and returning members to actively participate in upcoming projects and initiatives.
