Today, Jacob Marji will represent our school and Section 3 in the discus event at the State Meet for Track and Field. Over the past year, Jacob has demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work, leading to his remarkable achievements. This past season, he remained undefeated in every track meet, earning both his wins and his qualification for the State Meet. Notably, Jacob broke the Oneida School Record for the second consecutive year with an impressive throw of 176 feet, 6 inches. He is currently ranked among the top 5 athletes in New York State and is aiming to advance to the Federation Meet and potentially the Nationals.

In addition to Jacob's accomplishments, Oneida proudly sent eight other athletes to the State Qualifier Track Meet, highlighting an exceptional achievement for our program. Each of these individuals not only met the high standards required for participation but also achieved remarkable season and career personal bests, with one athlete breaking another school record. Today, these athletes will accompany Jacob, both physically and in spirit, as he prepares to embark on this significant journey.
