Meet 2025 Oneida City School District Board of Education Candidate, Mark Putnam!

I am an experienced educator with over 14 years as an Elementary Principal and previously served as a 4th grade teacher in the Whitesboro Central School District. I am currently the Principal at Sauquoit Valley Elementary School. Education has always been my passion. I bring a deep understanding of both classroom and administrative perspectives, as well as my investment as a parent to my current and future students of the District. My family and I moved to Oneida more than three years ago. We have truly grown to love and appreciate this vibrant, welcoming community. I am seeking a position on the Oneida City School District Board of Education to contribute my knowledge, dedication, and experience in support of our students, teachers, and families. I believe in thoughtful, student-centered decision-making and am committed to fostering strong partnerships between schools and the community. I would be honored to serve and help ensure the continued growth and success of the District.

One open seat on the Board of Education will be voted on at the May 20, 2025, Budget Vote.
