Cornell Cooperative Extension Visits Seneca Street

Cornell Cooperative Extension volunteers visited Seneca Street to engage students in a reading activity. They read the book "The Pie That Molly Grew" by Sue Heavenrich.
In the book, Molly grows her very own pumpkin, and the story takes readers on a journey through each stage of growth. In the end, Molly's lovely pumpkin is made into a delicious pie.
Following the read-aloud session, the volunteers led a hands-on cooking activity where students created a no-bake pumpkin pie filling, using graham crackers for dipping. This activity not only reinforced lessons from the book but also encouraged teamwork and creativity in the kitchen.
