Notably, many SUNY schools have established esports teams and a growing number of institutions are offering scholarships for graduating seniors.

Furthermore, Syracuse University has recently launched a state-of-the-art esports facility, becoming the first Division 1 institution to invest significantly in this field. The university now boasts a comprehensive four-year curriculum in esports, recognizing its potential as a rapidly expanding industry.

With an estimated 300,000 jobs available in the esports sector, it is crucial to inform student gamers that they can transform their passion into viable career opportunities. This was the core message that Mr. O'Connor conveyed to the students during his visit.
