Building Strong Spellers Through Sound and Rhythm at SS

Students in Mrs. Pommerenings’ class at Seneca Street Elementary School were hard at work practicing dictation and tapping out words to strengthen their spelling skills. By listening carefully, breaking words into sounds, and using rhythm to guide their thinking, students learned how letters and sounds work together.
This hands-on approach helps build confidence, improves reading and writing, and makes learning both fun and meaningful. It was wonderful to see students focused, engaged, and proud of their growing skills!
