Students Attend Disney Leadership Workshop
A group of Oneida High School students recently had an incredible experience attending a four-day leadership workshop at Walt Disney World in sunny Orlando, Florida! This trip was a fantastic opportunity for 30 students who were selected through an application process. They were well cared for by their four dedicated chaperones: Erin Belanger, Chrissy Sawner, John Silkowski, and John Zamperetti.
During their time at Disney, the students dove into some really cool classes about teamwork and physics—who knew you could learn so much while having fun at a theme park?
The entire trip was funded by the students, along with several fundraising efforts. They put in a lot of hard work and organized a variety of fun events, such as popcorn sales during lunch, a can and bottle drive, restaurant donations, and contributions from the homecoming dance. This clearly demonstrates how a bit of creativity and teamwork can go a long way!
Overall, this experience not only helped the students grow as leaders but also created lasting memories with their friends. It was a perfect blend of learning and adventure!
