Thanks to the Oneida Elks Lodge 767 and Elks National Foundation the Oneida Music Booster has received a very generous grant of $1500.  The grant is being used to expand the Ukulele program for our 4th – 8th grade students. The grant along with funding from Oneida Music Boosters provided for 45 Ukuleles for Seneca Street and Willard Prior Elementary Schools. As a result, children in all four elementary schools are now able to experience a new instrument and foster music literacy in the classroom. The check for $1500 from the Anniversary Grant, which was established by the Elks National Foundations to recognize years of the B.P.O.E. Elks, was presented by Kathy and Matt Malinowski and Bruce Burke to Sue Chambers and Stephanie Mahler of Oneida Music Boosters, along with Principal Moira Yardley, music teacher Marshall Pokrentowski, and his 4th-grade class at Willard Prior Elementary.
