Greetings OCSD Community & Families,

I hope that this message finds you well and looking forward to a the upcoming break to relax and enjoy family. I would like to take a moment to thank parents and families for working with us to provide the best learning environment possible for your children. As we’ve transitioned back to full in-person school, it has been even more important that we work together to support your children. Our teachers, administrators, and support staff have been working incredibly hard. I have encouraged them to take this holiday to unplug from work email and responsibilities and to come back recharged and ready to continue their efforts with our students as we push into the holiday season and beyond!

As we enter the holiday season and transition into winter, I wanted to give a quick reminder. Oneida City School District will be returning to traditional snow days. Please watch for announcements on ParentSquare, media outlets and our website on mornings when weather is a factor.  Additionally, our winter sports programs are set to begin and we’re looking forward to our student athletes representing our schools and district in competition!

Have a great holiday!

Matt Carpenter, Superintendent
