As Chorus is a performance-based elective, attendance at every concert is a requirement of the group. The only excusable absences from a concert are sickness (they are out of school the day of the concert) or a family emergency. Likewise, if your child is absent from school the day of a concert, they are NOT allowed to attend the concert that evening. If your child misses a concert due to non-excusable reasons, they will receive a zero. If your child misses a concert for any excusable reason, a written note, signed by a parent or guardian MUST be given to me ASAP. An email or a phone call ahead of time would be greatly appreciated as well.

** If a concert is missed, it is expected that they complete a make-up assignment within one week of the concert in order to make up for the lost points in their grade**

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email or by phone. I am looking forward to working with these groups and watching them grow musically throughout the year! Here’s to a wonderful year of making music together!

                                                                      Sincerely,

          Mrs. Heather O’Connell  🎶
