Absences
If a student is absent from school, he/she must bring in a written excuse on the day that he/she returns to school. If a student is absent for more than three consecutive days, he/she must bring in a note from a doctor outlining the reason for the extended absence. Parents, in the event that your child is absent, please call the school nurse, Mrs. Yates, at (315) 363-3930. You may leave a message if it is before or after school hours.
Arrival
We encourage students to arrive to school by 8:45am so they can prepare for the day. Busses generally arrive around 8:35am. Breakfast is served from 8:30am-8:50am. The day begins at 8:55am with announcements. Students may arrive at school anytime after 8:30am. Walkers/student drop-offs may enter the building through the front entrance.
Dismissal
Students who are being picked up by a parent or approved adult will be dismissed at 3:00pm.
Playground
Students are always invited back to play on the playground after school hours with adult supervision. However, students must wait until 3:45pm before returning to school to avoid traffic and movement during dismissal.
Student Pickup
If you are picking up a student during the school day for an appointment, please sign them out in the SS Main Office. A photo ID is required for pickup and any adult picking a student up MUST be on the approved pickup list. If you wish to make changes to the approved pickup list, please contact the SS Main Office.
