Staff Participates in Oneida Olympics
Posted on 09/06/2018

The first day back for faculty members was filled with food and fun as they participated in a series of “Olympic Events” throughout the day.

The morning started in the Fariel Gym where staff members heard from Superintendent Mary-Margaret Zehr, Board President John Elberson, and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Tina Lane before breaking out into their groups for the competition.

There was a series of four events to participate in. A relay was held in the gymnasium. After putting on oven mitts and an apron, staff members had to hula hoop and shoot a layup with a basketball.

In the library, teams worked together to solve Break-Out Boxes. There are clues that need to be worked out in order to open the locks and get inside the box. The team with the fastest time earned the most points.

In the art room, groups worked to create a poster that best represented our new Mission and Vision statements. Points were given for creativity and neatness.

In the cafeteria, groups were given a crossword puzzle to complete.

A BBQ lunch was served after the events of the morning wrapped up. We look forward to a fantastic year! More photos can be found on our Oneida City School District Facebook page.
