Peter Duchene, Ed Meacham, Christine Conte and Mary Margaret Zehr welcomed everyone and commented on the efforts made to bring this project to reality. A Touchscreen Kiosk was unveiled at the entrance of the Fariel Gym.  This contains biographies, photographs and videos. It will be on display for everyone to learn more about the AHOF members. This will be updated yearly.

Then it was time for the football game at Vets Field against Chittenango. Weather conditions forced the game to start earlier than planned. Ed Meacham was in the Broadcast Booth and introduced AHOF Members at halftime. Oneida won the game that day 22-14.

Breakfast

On Saturday a continental breakfast was served in the cafeteria. This gave everyone the opportunity to reminisce and catch up with friends.  Our photographer took pictures which have been posted on Facebook.  See the Group 'Oneida School District Athletic Hall of Fame of Fame...Now Arrived!' or the Page 'Oneida School District Athletic Hall of Fame'.The Induction Ceremony was held in the Auditorium. Program information included each member's biography and some of the many photographs collected. Ed Meacham and Peter Duchene shared emcee duty. They thanked the school district administration, committee members and event organizer Carrie Earl for all their assistance. Information was given about fundraising, scholarships and the nomination process. The new Hall of Fame Members or their Representatives gave acceptance speeches and were presented with a trophy. This will be an annual event.  Details are available on the OCSD website under Athletics.
