Oneida HS Students Explore Disc Configurations in Science Class

Oneida High School students in Mr. Goggins' science class participated in an engaging and educational experiment. They worked with a unique lesson involving discs filled with a steel sphere that moved within the walls of the disc. The purpose was to determine the configuration of the walls without opening the disc to see what was inside.
To do this, students tilted the discs back and forth, listening to the sound paths created by the moving ball. By analyzing these sound patterns, they aimed to identify the shape and location of the walls.
After completing their observations, students were asked to draw their hypotheses based on the sound cues they gathered.
